How can we use the experiences with refugees?
That is a question we have been facing. Throughout the last 10 years, during our periods of research and activities with refugees, we have worked with many large and small NGOs to promote the use of music with refugees.
As we collate all the research and materials, it leads to a further question as to how this material can be used in a wider context. To this end, we are putting together a curriculum based on experiences and tried and tested methods which will be shared with charities in the UK working with refugees.
The work with music and refugees and the disadvantaged continues to be at the forefront of our work and we aim to include as many, diverse groups in this. Having created worksheets and guidelines, we hope that many more in the UK will be able to realise that “Music Speaks”
