We applied to the Charity Commission and followed the normal, rather lengthy procedures and are delighted to inform you all that our status has been updated. We now are legally registered with the Charity Commission and our number is on the front page of the website.
This does not change any of our activity with the refugees but gives our work more credibility.

Our latest project in Jordan, stemmed from a desire to help refugees in the Zaatari refugee camp. This camp is “home” to around 81,000 refugees. The scale and need in that camp is daunting. Our desire to incorporate music therapy into work with children and refugees led to a project with Save the Children. We ran a workshop for the teachers and explained how music and music therapy can be used in a classroom setting, individually and also as a means for the teachers to relax and recuperate. The strain on the local population is enormous and it was important for the teachers too, to draw on music as a healing and refreshing medium.
We were delighted when we were approached by the local, Jordanian branch of Save the Children regarding the possibility of training workshops for their teachers. We held the full day workshop for all the kindergarten teachers working with Save the Children in Zaatari refugee camp. It is thrilling to realise that the impact of a workshop for teachers will have a far-reaching impact in the refugee camp
