Harnessing the Healing Power of Music

October 2013

We are now focusing on a Christmas gift project which aims to donate 500 instruments to the refugees from Syria and Iraq. As Christmas approaches and we think of joy, peace and giving it seemed appropriate to focus too on how we could make a difference in the lives of these children.

The charity has produced the template of a gift box which can be downloaded (cube-template[1]), coloured in and placed under the Christmas tree as a reminder of the money donated to buy an instrument for a refugee in Iraq and Syria.

Simply make a bank transfer to the UK-based charity and follow the progress on the website.

We have linked up with a number of different NGOs who are providing support in numerous ways.  We are grateful to Global Hand (www.globalhand.org) a UK and Hong Kong based charity who have invited us to collaborate with them.  We are also delighted that Friends of Canterbury Cathedral will be publishing an article about the charity in their next newsletter.  Please pass the Christmas appeal information to anyone who may be interested and let us continue to aim at 500 instruments by Christmas.
